This work is part of the 'Move Your Moles' series and shows a corner of a canvas pinned to the center of a wall mirror, with the canvas naturally hanging down. The mirror exists not only as a reflective surface but also as a symbol of self-reflection. By fixing a part of the canvas in the center of the mirror, the artist focuses the audience's attention on the intersection of these two elements, creating an experience that is both intuitive and profound.
The patterns and lines on the canvas symbolize the destiny and trajectory of the individual, while the draped canvas expresses the unpredictability of destiny and the impermanence of life. This natural draping gives a sense of unfinishedness, suggesting that destiny and life are always in a state of flux and development.
In addition, the reflection in the mirror makes the audience involuntarily scrutinize their own appearances, prompting them to think about their own destiny and identity. This work explores the relationship between personal destiny, social judgment, and self-perception. Through the mirror, the audience becomes not only an observer but also a part of the work.
