This project integrates the themes of symbols, destiny, and personal identity through three painting installations and an interactive chess table. It explores the interplay of individual free will, societal judgment, and destiny. The work reflects on the individual's freedom of choice and dilemmas when facing negative evaluations and societal pressures, as well as how these choices impact collective fate. By moving pieces and intertwining lines, the audience experiences how individual decisions are intertwined with collective destiny. The project not only examines the role of symbols in shaping identity and fate but also delves into the curiosity and anticipation people have about their fate, along with the conflicting emotions of hope and fear associated with the unknown.

The table has magnets attached on both sides, each with a thread stuck underneath, which crosses and entwines underneath the glass table when the audience moves the magnets. The audience is free to move the magnets to any intersection, and they can check the meanings on the posters to make their choices, or they can intuitively choose a destiny of their own.

The lines underneath the glass table become more tightly entwined as the audience moves the magnet. Each line represents a person's destiny, and these changes visually show how individual choices affect and intertwine with each other. My original purpose in making this chess table was to express that people can choose and control the direction of their own destiny rather than being defined by culture or symbols.
