Tear Song

Tears are the purest expression of emotion, with each drop carrying the deep stories and feelings from within. I aim to give each tear a voice. The "Song of Tears" project transforms these emotional tears into music, making emotions both visible and audible. Utilizing a 30-note paper, this project converts the traces of tears into unique melodies. I have created a tear collection installation and installed music paper on it, allowing the collected tears to evenly drip onto the paper. Through precise punching, these tear marks are transformed into musical notes. I deeply feel that each punch grants a new form of life to the emotions. As the melody gently plays from the music box, the sounds created from the tears seem to tell silent stories.
