The project explores the impact of fate and chance on our lives. Inspired by the habit of flipping a coin to make a decision when faced with uncertainty, in this work we flip stones to decide our 'fate'. The direction in which the two stones fall symbolizes different outcomes - one side up and one side down for positive outcomes, all sides up for uncertainty and asking again, and all sides down for negative outcomes. This process reveals the contingency and impermanence of fate, as well as the psychological state of the person in the face of the unknown. The project combines materials such as mirrors and metal cylinders to symbolize self-reflection and the multi-faceted nature of fate.
